How to make it like a boss:

• These directions are based on a 10 OZ spray bottle, adjust depending on the size of your bottle.

• Add the white vinegar, lemon essential oil and baking soda to the bottle. It will fizz up when you add the baking soda, a bit like a grade school science experiment, so be prepared! 

• Lastly, add the water. Make sure and add the water slowly, leaving at least an inch at the top of the bottle, as the baking soda will continue to fizz up. Place the sprayer lid on, and shake well.

• Spray directly on veggies and fruit.  Ideally, let fruit and veggies sit for 15 minutes after spraying, then rinse and allow to air dry. NOTE: After spraying, letting veggies or fruit sit for 15 min or more has been known to kill bacteria like Salmonella. 

• Enjoy your clean, disinfected veggies, Boss Ladies!

Why use these ingredients to wash my veggies?

• White Vinegar has been said to be a natural disinfectant, which can break down chemicals and kill bacteria such as Salmonella and E. Coli.

• While not a disinfectant, Baking Soda can help break down pesticide molecules.

• Lemon essential oil is known as a powerful household cleaner to purify and disinfect. *It is important to use an essential oil like Doterra that has been CPTG tested to make sure that it is safe to ingest as this is being sprayed directly onto your food.  Just because the oil says "Pure", or "Organic", doesn't mean it has been properly tested and could potentially contain additives that are not healthy for topical or internal usage. That's one of the many reasons I'm sold on Doterra Essential Oils!
