Sugar-Free
Simple Syrup
What the boss needs:
INGREDIeNTS
1 Cup Granulated Alternative Sweetener (BochaSweet, Swerve, Monk Fruit, Erythritol, or Stevia)
1 Cup Water
How to make it like a boss:
They call it "simple" syrup for a reason...This is the easiest thing to make and you'll say, "Why did I ever buy this at a store?!" Plus, it's SUGAR FREE. #guiltfreedrinking
-
Add 1 cup of water and 1 cup of alternative sweetener of your choice to a medium sauce pan, and bring to a gentle boil. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved, about 2 minutes.
-
Set aside and let it cool. And you're literally done! Keep it refrigerated.
NOTE: My current sweetener of choice is "BochaSweet" (listed below). Bocha Sugar is a little more expensive but it's zero calorie, zero glycemic sweetener that tastes the most like cane sugar out of all the alternative sweeteners I've tried. It's made from a Japanese superfood called kabocha, which is a squash. It works for every recipe because you can use it at a 1:1 ratio in everything you would normally use cane sugar. Plus, it has no insulin stimulation so there are no blood sugar spikes, which makes it perfect for Keto recipes and weight management. Lastly, the brand listed below is made from 100%, non-GMO kabocha and has no additives or fillers.
